Beautiful
Love to see more of these video's what a beautiful time ❤
Back when people were people and work was proper work.
These were men of the land and the sea and could make anything and the skill was handed down through father to son and beyond thank you for sharing Sean 💚🍀 - so beautiful to watch. I wish my lovely da was here to see. He was from the liberties in Dublin and grew up in poverty in the 40's but said he had the best time, he said no one robbed anything as nobody had anything to rob! They don't make men like him anymore💔
1950's I'd say. In the olden days, the entrance door to a house was in two parts: the upper half could be open to allow light, air, & view to the outside, while the closed lower half kept crawling babies in and chickens etc out! It was the custom to take down the 'half-door' of the house to furnish a dance platform back then. Which is what we see in this video. Míle Buíochas/many thanks for uploading!
Remember Fishguard to Cork when I was a child in the 1950s. I was born in Wales but my parents were from Kerry and they went home every summer for 2 weeks. Remember a rough sea night in steerage one time. Everyone was getting sea sick. Most memories were great however, my father would get us a cabin in 1st. class and we felt like royalty. Passing the castle and the family waving to us brings back great memories.
Spent school holidays at my Grandmothers house in the 50s a mile or so outside Listowel ❤️
I was on it a few times after I had to go to the UK for my trade and nobody asked me where I can from. Being from gurranabraher didn't matter
That Innisfallen was sold in 1968 my dad RIP was her bosun
Jaypers . They were hoors to dance, walk, and work😅
Hasn’t changed a bit
sean was a gentle soul. if we had people like sean in 2024 it would be like heaven on earth
It's a shithile now Irish government no longer governing for its people the Dáil is just a council inacting EU and international laws and treaties, went back there a few years ago and the town was unrecognisable as were the people
This isn't diverse enough for me.
Good man 👍

Is it a lost world ?
Hi Sean. I just got sent this link, having never seen it before. Thanks for putting that together, it means so much!! Great to see the footage of dad playing music with all of his friends. It's 10 ½ years already since dad passed away and now his grandkids can see him in action. Thanks again Sean. Alan Dorgan
brilliant
My youngest brother's name is Sean McCarthy.
Vomit inducing.
Patience is a virtue
What a beautiful song. Pete has left us a wonderful legacy.
Lovely video, never
Eamon Ryan is a prick. Green with a massive yellow streak down his spine
What a beautiful mind and spirit to write such wonderful lyrics
Thank you for the music Pete. May you rest in the arms of the angels. 🙏🏻
Thank you so much for all the memories and the music Pete, Rest i Peace dear man
Steady great singer
Hi uncle John it’s me Lucy downey
My Granny lived here and some of my family still do. Amazing to see. I hope to be able to come soon
The fog is coming.
You won’t be able to go there because the fog is coming
Very old film… but, where is the building in this film?
These people made this great country☘ for us all yeah they were Irelands hero's ⭐everyone of them💚
It was the money sent home from our people working abroad that saved us from the worse effects of a corrupt government. Very often the top kids in their class could get a job and had to leave while those kids with parents “in the know” got the job no matter how badly they did in the exams. Never forget the “Many Young Men of Twenty”.
Love to all Irish rebel songwriters and poets from 🇩🇪
As of today Tuesday 5 October 2021 Eamon Ryan Leader of the Green Party has ignored our greatest songwriters requests to have this song as an anthem for the Climate Change meeting in Glasgow. Eamon is in Government now and shows total disrespect in not answering Pete’s phone calls emails. etc. The least this great songwriter and man deserves is the courtesy of a reply.
Must be before 1969
A monumental musical statement - A brilliant compilation of words and music to show concern for a world on borrowed time! #ShowConcern #WorldOnBorrowedTime #PeteStJohn #MusicMatters

NO masks! NO cellphones! NO filth!..... just people.
stop your bs. i bet there was a lot of filth backstage. and that fine.
Bizarre comment.
You should make some videos of Clonakilty, too many of rosscarbery and drinagh, we want to see proper towns
Disgraceful to see so many children in the pub. No wonder over 50 per cent of Irish people are alcoholics
Very cheesy first dance. Cliched and cringe.
